Orthopedic Surgery

An Orthopedic Surgery is operated on the muscular system by the surgeons. The human system is comprised of bones, ligaments, joints, muscles and tendons. There are many types of procedural orthopedic surgery. Traditional procedurals are now competing with the modern procedural known as arthroscopy surgery done by an orthopedic surgeon take less time and can get relief from the pain. Let’s take look at the most common types of Orthopedic Surgery.

2. ACL Reconstruction Surgery

ACL stands for Anterior Cruciate Ligament, and it’s one of the main ligaments in your knee. It is located diagonally in front of your knee and provides stability when you rotate your legs. Surgeons will take a portion of a tendon from another part of the body while doing surgery. A patient can even go home on the same day of the operation in ACL reconstruction surgery.

3. Shoulder Dislocation

It is rare for the people to have shoulder dislocation easily it is called subluxation, but it can only happen while playing, being from an accident, or other contact injuries. In shoulder dislocation surgery is very necessary to be done.

4. Spinal Surgery

There are many types of spine surgeries: Spinal Fusion, Diskectomy, Kyphoplasty, and Laminectomy, are among several others. They all are very critical surgeries since the spine provide central support to the entire skeleton system of the human body. Nowadays, there are several procedurals with minimum invasion.

5. Joint Fusion

Joint fusion is very common among arthritis patient. During this surgery, the damaged cartilage is removed and replaced with a graft. The joints are welded together to provide stabilization into the bones. Joint fusion can also be done in your fingers, ankles, spines and feet.

6. Trigger Finger Release

Tendons allow people to bend and move their fingers that go from their base to the fingertips covered with a protective sheath. If the Sheath is injured, it becomes inflammable and prevents the patient from fully extending on the finger. This is known as a trigger finger release.
